well done its a ballan, ballan wrasse can change colour even there sex depending on where they live. i think it is 7 females for every 1 male wrasse... or it could be the other way round.

i used to spend hours, probably on that very rock while on my hols
fishing light for the wrasse and rock gobys.
i.d also sink n draw a little inch and a half delta eel lure on a 3ft snood behind a 3/4oz ball weight for the mackerel/gars and pollock.
all done with an old freshwater ledger rod.
loads of fun till the pubs opened then it was off for a beer or 2


this shot is me fishing on the point the far side of the cove to your left , i think, if memory serves.
