a black crucian????

I was fishing at Todber Manor again today and one of the fish I caught was one of the black crucians, I have been told they are a cross breed but was surprised at how crucian it really is

30 lateral line scales
elongated dorsal fin
no barbules
shape and scale pattern

really just the colour is non crucian

what is your opinion?????

Indeed it is - the lateral scale count of 30 is consistent with goldfish. Crucians have at least 31, and usually more. There are a lot of mongrel goldfish hybrids out there, and it is becoming increasingly difficult to find true Simon Pure crucians.
