Carassius gibelio is a synonym for Carassius auratus which is of course the goldfish (which comes in a variety of colours).

Scientific Sources - Berg 1949, and Kottelat 1997. (Both of these scientists are world authorities on fish nomenclature)

Prussian Carp. Geibel. Gibel Carp.

All three of these are terms that have been applied BOTH to Crucians and to Goldfish (depending upon which "expert's" book you read) so calling a fish a Gibel doesn't help at all. The term "gibel" refers to a very steep slope to the shoulder and comes from the same root as a house gable.

The fish illustrated is a silver coloration of the goldfish. The lateral line count of 30 is the most obvious feature you can see in the picture.
