| Hoping for Sat. With the colder weather the last few nights I'm hoping to get out icefishing on Sat. Last night hit -11 C & tonight -17 is being called for. My local lake has been froze over since last week but not thick enough to get on. This colder spell should hopfully firm up the ice & build a little more thickness. | Re: Hoping for Sat. (Updated) Well no icefishing today. When I checked out the ice yesterday it was almost 4" near the shore but thinned out as I got further out. I stoped when it hit 3" & I was not out into deep enough water to bother going out today. Colder temps are perdicted to continue for the next week so next weekend should be good. | Re: Hoping for Sat. It MiGhT even get cold enough for me to finaly give it a try......there are wind chill advisories in Nebr. and Iowa today!!! (I'm sure you know what I'm talking about, but.... Hoping for a little better weather.Bloody cold here right now. -13 deg C (9 deg F) with winds at 33 km/h (22 mph). Last night -20 deg C (-4 deg F) and very high winds. Most highways in this area closed due to zero visibility due to blowing snow. It was one hairy drive home from work today on the backroads because the highways were closed.
