Overnight Huts

Here are a few pictures from a trip myself & the wife took a couple years ago.
We were at Lake Nipissing, Ont., Canada. You spend overnight in the shack with a heated outhouse nearby.

Outside the hut with a walleye (simular to zander) & the wife with a whitefish.

Inside the hut looking at the kitchen & TV on top of the heater.

Inside hut looking at door.Notice hole through floor to the left of door. One of 4 holes within the hut.

Best Wishes: Rick

Re: Overnight Huts

Fisherdan & baitmaster:
Yes you do fish from inside the hut thru the holes in the floor or you can also fish outside the hut.
This is not a personal hut but a rental unit.
They are not left, burnt down or dismanteld but towed off the ice for use the next year. Some places also rent these units out during the summer cheaply as a step up from tents.
As for getting out this year, not yet. Not cold enough yet. Ice was just starting to freeze up on small ponds last week but we expect warmer weather this coming week so it will be still awhile.

Best Wishes: Rick

Talking Re: Overnight Huts

Sounds a very civilised way to fish. Could just imagine sitting on the Loo Fishing rod in hand.....
