| ice fishing i saw something about ice fishing on a ray mears program where he made a floating bit of wood which you psuh as far ander water as you can with a big stick and then the cod under the ice follow it up and you spear them ice fishing looks kinda fun never tryed it though well never been anywhere where i could try it apart from ice land and that was a school trip so i couldnt do things like that __________________ Bens The Name And Catchings The Game Anti the Anti's     |

| Re: ice fishing Ice fishing is big in canada north america and alaska I know only a small amount about ice fishing but here goes (have just put a link to hear from one of my ice fishing sites so hopefully they will start to come to the forum) Ice Fishing Basically its cutting a hole in the ice and fishing with small rods 2-3 foot long with bait or jugs Rods  They also use tip ups  These are basically there for of bit detector - remembered temperatures can go -40c so sitting out with your cup of coffee is not an option __________________ Richard|Sea Fishing |Carp Fishing| Spud Gun | Zander fishing | Fishing Reports | Hunting Reports |

| Re: ice fishing Tried in Lapland back in December but not for long as it was bloody cold (not surprising with it being ice fishing) and there were other, more tempting, things to do such as driving snow mobiles. The rods are really weird though, like something out of a kids magnetic fishing game! |
