Fishing in Sweden in June

Hi,

Not Ice Fishing I know, but I can't think of anywhere else to put this. I'm hoping that some of you ice fishing guys have been to Sweden in the summer too.

I'm off to Sweden in June for a couple of weeks wild camping with the family and would like some tips on fishing in Sweden if anyone has any.

Have you fished the lakes and rivers in Sweden? What rigs worked best? When is the best time of day to fish (it's light for 24hrs a day in June)?

Any info much appreciated.

Cheers
Paul

Re: Fishing in Sweden in June

depends on where in sweden you are going...i have been to the karlstad area by the vennersee. Fished for coarse species. Also the klarelven, which runs into vennersee. I have found plenty of fish everywhere in sweden, though as always it takes time to catch any specimens. Karlstad was an excellent venue. I have also been round the south by Morrumsan, solvesborg karlshamn etc. What species are you targeting? Keith.

Perch season starts late summer - July and forward. When finding the right spot one can catch a lot of them. The big ones is going in to feed upon mating small fish and there are great chances for getting a 2lb+.
