Re: Congratulations to the Old Voles

Well done.

It was certainly close last year.
We are hoping to be up there with the leaders this year.

Re: Congratulations to the Old Voles

Thanks chaps for your glowing praise and salutations.

We should raise a glass to everyone that took part,

It was quite a year!

The challenge to those taking part in 2008 is to beat our score and be the first to do the ton.

Good luck to all in 2008.

Re: Congratulations to the Old Voles

Yes, thanks Greenheart and the rest of you for your kind words.

A most interesting year that gave a new slant to our fishing. We had to rethink strategy a few times when arranged boat trips were blown off.

!00 points is certainly within reach - we missed out on grayling (the first year for yonks that I have failed to catch one) and there were a lot of commonish flatties, rays and gurnards that we SHOULD have caught - couldn't even manage a rockling either!

So good luck to all in 2008. We will follow progress with interest, and from time to time update you on our quests for charr, bitterling and common topknot!
