| Re: 90 points to beat - that's the target! Cracking effort this year, 90 points is a hell of a score. Shame about next year, but I hope you keep the reports coming even if isn't for the forum hunt. Hopefully you'll achieve your own goals.Have a good time in Aus. ![]() __________________ Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. | Re: 90 points to beat - that's the target! "So we have to settle for 90".......... Yeah in a kind of "We had to settle for the Rugby World Cup" kind of way. It sounds like you guys have got life figured out so enjoy it. I am not going to say I am jelous as this is all in our hands (the life we live) . I will think it though. Good on ya! Enjoy! | Re: 90 points to beat - that's the target! Thanks for all your good wishes folks It is 2.30pm in Kununurra, W.Australia as I post this. 102.5 degrees Fahrenheit outside this cybercafe. We have spent a week patrolling the outback of Northern Australia, logging up Certhia's birds, and looking at the remains of the freshwater creeks. Most creeks have dried up, but a few still have unconnected pools, each the size of a billiard table. Chuck a size 0 Mepps across, and there are archer fish, spangled perch, and pikey bream galore fighting to get to the lure first. Had spangled perch for dinner last night. Caught by me, barbecued by Certhia. The serious fishing (on the Ord River) starts the day after tomorrow, and as we will be in camp, miles from "civilisation", you won't hear from us for a while. Keep those points coming though...... __________________ Nothing matters very much, few things matter at all - Plato ...only things like fresh bait and cold beer - Vagabond |
