Re: whats your current target fish

Hi Guys

For some or other reason I have just stumbled over this thread!!!

For the record, and to give you an idea of my target species this year:

Fresh Water (on the fly)
Wild Brown Trout
6kg+ Tiger Fish - Zambezi River, Zambia
Nembwe - Chobe River, Namibia
Bream: Three spot, Pink Happy, Red Breast, Thin Faced - on the Chobe and Zambezi Rivers

Sea Fishing:
Cape Salmon
Cobb
5kg+ Red Roman

Offshore:
Dorado (Dolphin fish)

Can't wait to get out there and do it.

cheers

Walter

Now that's a species worth going for. I saw a seven pounder netted by the water board a few years back when they drained a local lake (Shearwater) Very impressive fish. Probably been hooked & lost loads of times without people even knowing what broke em...
Always used to be amazed by the pics of Eels in the Angling times that the late John Sidley used to catch. He gave up work & did it full time would you believe.
