| rhymney sunday P opped down the river Sunday weather was slightly better than of late, M y nephew Ben who was keen to go after tying is first nymphs to see if they work. Arrived down Machen quite a few cars there were we normally park looks like every one was taking advantage of the break in the weather. We walked to the first pool 3 fisherman there 1 of them seemed to be catching a grayling every cast looks like he was useing heavy tungston flys. The next few pools we wanted to try was the same 3 or 4 fisherman already fishing. we got back to the car and went to another part up by Caerphilly which we have never tried.Ben managed to catch to grayling on is flys so was really chuffed, lucky sod no luck for me . Didnt fish for long as Bens waders were starting to fill up with ice cold water, ![]() ONis way down ![]() ![]() ![]() Not much fishing done ,but job done jammy Ben caught on is own flys. |
