where are the cod in the channel

hello everyone i have recently moved to weston super mare i am only here for a short period of time and i am looking for some of the famous cod fishing that i have read about. I am from torquay and am used to venues like hopes nose and berry head now i have my gear here and no idea of where to fish i know that the old pier in weston is out of bounds and that you cannot fish on the new one the beach just seems to be miles and miles of sticky mud and the tackle shops are not all that helpfull if anyone can give me an idea it would be gratefully accepted thankyou

try clevedon pier during the day .. Steve at the tackle shop nearby has some great bait ( Olivers tackle )
Lady bay for easy fishing .. battery point for some monsters .. try veals website for more marks mate ..
there are fish all over the channel - the tides are more important than venue i.m.o
