St. Maarten: Windy Weekend

I just joined this forum last weekend and realized this morning that there was a special page for fishing reports.

I am a guide on St. Maarten in the sunny Caribbean and post whenever I can because St. Maarten's biggest secret is it's inshore fishery. Hope you enjoy!



The winds picked up and the snook have seemed to moved back into their winter haunts and were hard to find.

However knowing where they spend their winters was key to putting this weekend's clients on the Caribbean Linesiders.

Most were on the smaller side, 5#-8#, although we missed a few large fish.

Plenty of bait in the bays suggests that once the waters warm up a few degrees that the fishing should be good.

Can't wait to get on the beach this afternoon!
