Over due boat report

I would have put this report out last week, but due to a problem with uploading to Photobucket I was unable to.

Myself and DBDB booked a last minute trip out with Colin Penny on Flamer III out of our home port of Weymouth.
Colin has a great reputation for finding good fish on the inshore marks. So we set of with some good expectations.

We started off fishing a reef on the East side of Portland. After about 10 minutes the first of the dogfish started to come onboard. I was amongst the starters on the pack which gained us our first species points in almost two months with a small dogfish
A few more followed and then one of the party managed to boat a small Conger. Both myself and Elliot managed a few more Doggies before Colin decided to move us round the other side of Portland.

The going was slow so I changed from a large Mackerel bait to ragworm and was imediatly rewarded with a Pout

Whilst myself and DBDB managed to land a few more pout and doggies everyone around us seemed to be boating Bull Huss and one lad even managed a late season Whiting.

We both enjoyed the day out but I was frustrated that we had not added a Huss, Conger and Whiting to our Species hunt tally.

Still we are going out on Top Cat on Sunday, so I am hoping we increase our tally.
