Blankety Blank - Blankety Blank - Blankety Blank

Hi all,

Dartmouth Part two.

The Blandford Boys "A" team hit Dartmouth for the second time this year but sadly the fish didn't turn up, I think they got there dates mixed up.

We had about 20 Pollock between the 9 of us plus a few Pouting. Sadly I have to admit defeat, and give up my title to Andy Gorrie. He had 3 Pouting for his efforts for the day until his last cast when a stray Pollock found his lure and felt sorry for him. It was a mere 13lbs compared to my biggest from our last outing but unfortunately it gave him the edge.

You have all guessed it by now, I BLANKED. Not a single nibble all day long, despite changing my lure every other drift. I tried everything that I had in my box to no avail.

However, can you explain how a supposedly expert Pollock hunter can manage to catch Pouting whilst solely targeting Pollock? I think he cheated while my back was turned.

Well, next month we are out of Weymouth targeting Plaice, my eyes will be on him all day long, with his luck I'll bet he will come up with a Turbot!!!

Despite the lack of fish, once again we all enjoyed ourselves. A special thank you to the skipper Dave Harrison who certainly never gave up trying to put us in the fish and crewman Mike for the never endless cups of tea and coffee.
