La Puntilla

i have just got back from a couple of hours fishing of the rocks at La Puntilla, Las Palmas this is about 15 mins by car for me.



im still getting used to fishing on a rock bottom so my progress is slow.i did manage to catch this today,



i dont have a clue what it is s if anyone has an idea i would b greatful and is safe to eat?

Ive caught a few of those before.. not sure of the name, but it is from this fish family.

When I caught one once I asked a portuguese friend what is was, and he said it was a
"soup fish" which is a classification that many spiney, not too tasty fish fall into. LOL

Thanks for that, its nice to get an idea of what im catching. Like you said in another thread all the forums hre are only in spanish. Although my girlfriend s native canarian is still not as easy as it sounds....lol

according to mates at work that is about as big as they get and are very tasty.
