lime kilns today 5/2/7

well went down to the lime kilns again today
even after having got back from last nights fishing about 12.30 managed to get fat butt out of bed and got there just about 7am beutifull sunrise


lovely frosty morning(coldest morning i've fished yet



tried a swim on bend, met with kev( welly) stood chatted
he went for a quick spin along the bank



I managed to miss a 1/2 hearted run
so at 11.30 moved back to main bank
still nothing , water was like a mirror and bright sunshine

really had turned into a lovely day and obviously mr pike was enjoying a rest as well

had licence checked again just as leaving
guys fishing poles on main bank were bagging up on nice sized bream and lots of nice tench(in feb )

nice session despite the lack of fish , I will get them next time

what a great little spot to fish (cheers dave) no pike caught but got a few tips/info from ping so im off to tackle shop to start getting some coarse fishing tackle together (complete novice with freshwater fishing )
must do it again soon dave ,

was a glorious day watching the kingfishers again, unfortunately on far bank so couldnt get pic, and later the buzzards , for only just being on outskirts of exeter and right beside m5, after getting used to car hum(never takes long) you could be miles away into the country

a fish would have been a bonus today but with weather and nature all aboutit was just lovely getting out today

its a very nice rod shaun,well impressed with it and casts well too for a 5 piece rod , cheers mate
