Small Lake ( Allbrook)

Well after dropping of the kids off around Mums and Dads it was a great way to get a couple hours fishing in With my Dad

so I quickly set up a small cage feeder and a 4 m whip plus sorted out a little bit of tackle so we could travel light

Are aim was to catch a few perch really but sadly None again which is really stange as its normally our 1st fish we catch there this time of the year

So i started of fishing the feeder with chooped worm and a little bit of groundbait mixed a few bits and pieces

Within 5 mins I have my first bite but missed it , So i think it may if been a small fish going for the worm

So want on fishing with sweetcorn socked on bloodworm D.N.A going for a carp but no luck , so I changed again to two or three little worms tipped with a couple of red maggots to get this small common carp but great to say hello anyway

My Dad ended up with many roach and rudd , one a cast but no perch ..... plus a couple of 1 lb Roach which is always nice to see

He even want on to use corn and worms as bait but still the roach was going for the bait

So We will give it a go within the next few weeks to see if we can catch a few of them big perch
