| a last minute species change i,ve decided to change tactics and have a trip in search of a big bream on my local river with all the rain we,ve had i,m assuming the water will be well coloured and with the water running in from fields and the bank that worms will be washed in and i,m hoping that they will be my banker bait BIG LOBBY,S but i will also be backing this up with casters corn and good old bread . so first order of the day was to get prepped and i,m my normal style i try not to leave any thing to chance so these are my ingredients for my feeder mix ![]() these will all be binded together with good old bag up ground bread crumb white and brown.and any liquid flavouring if i feel it will give me an advantage but i think ithis will not be required ![]() once i,ve mixed them all together except the worms which will get chopped into the mix as and when i feel they will be needed . ![]() now my tactics will be to fish two rods this evening firstly as i beleive the fishing to be a bit slower than autumm time but it could be hectic but will see. but i,m going to be fishing feeder tactic with the weights being around 1 and half ounces to counter the stronger flows with the river probably running high with access water ![]() one will be on a paternoster link which i will tweek on the bank once i have accessed the flow rates of the river if its hard i,ll fish the hooklink up to around 3ft with again 8,s or 10,s tied up on 4lb links . the other will be on a long hooklink again but fished on a simple running feeder rig again hook size wiull be either 8,s or 10,s now i,ve been tippped off on an area where some big bream have been coming out of so this wi8ll be where we will be heading . i,ll report later how it all goes tightlines kevin ![]() |
