today

got to blickling lakes at about 7:30, had a boilie on 1 rod, bream pellet on the other, after a minute or 2, got a run, turned out to be a small skimmer just coming onto a lb, had another about 5 mins earlier.

we then dedcided too move fisheries, we travelled a further 7 mile up the road to reepham lakes, which hold, crucian carp, mirror carp, common carp, koi carp, leather carp, ghost carp, goldfish, rudd, golden rudd, tench, roach, fantails

my mate had the 1st fish, a 8lb common took on a sweetcorn boilie (12mil) he then missed another 2 runs not long after.

i then got the next fish, a small mirror of 4-5lb, i then hooked into a fish ( i have never seen a reel backwinding so fast, it was a fantastic run) but it spat the hook, both on sweetcorn boilies.

the bites then dried up, until we started freelining fruit beans, my mate had 2 fantails, 3 crucians, a lovely blue koi (4lb), tench and a common.

the next fish i had was a small tench, and then i saw my line tightening, i striked and i was into something good, i didn't think it was too big, but it was fighting hard we then saw it's head and it looked like it was going to be a new pb, it was a lovely mirror crossed with a koi, looked about 15lb, but on the scales went 11lb, i was still very pleased though, and that finished the day nicely!!
