Re: fishing tomorrow

went today, trying to break the blanking burden!! it had been 6 times if you didn't know.??

well, my mate got there about 7, i got there 10:30 after buying a new Ron Thompson rod, my mate had already lost a mirror.

bite alarms were screaming off all around the lake, they really were on the feed. my mate then got a run, a good fight, got it in a lovely 8lb common. not long after he got a 4lb common again, both on bananna boilies.

i had a few knocks on my pellets, but they wouldn't run with it porperly, so switched to green lip mussel boilie on 1 rod, bananna on the other, had a few knocks on the mussel, then it screamed off, after a great fight, i finally banked a fish, a lovely 7lb common

i had a lot of annoying bites where it just beeped once.. didn't manage another fish, hooked 1, but it came off.

my mate then caught a 6lb mirror, and it was a great finish too the day

Re: fishing tomorrow

not too bad, was using a method feeder, with the elastic in the middle, it was great cos you could feel it pulling the elastic out, tried to escape in the reeds right infront of me about 4 times, so arm ached slightly from having to point it right out far!

Re: fishing tomorrow

it's a superior, mastch rod 10ft 3 piece, lovely and light, and played the fish well, not sure of the test curve, think it's 1 3/4lb
