Smile Anchor Meadow in the morning

Off today and tomorrow, (Tues and Weds).

Been a good chap and went for my Physio. first thing this morning.

Just blasted through 'jobs list' left by 'She who must be.... '

All being well I can go to Anchor Meadow in Evesham in the morning for a pop at the Barbel on the Avon.

Been a couple of times recently and caught other fish (and a 30 inch eel, hideous slimey monster), but no Barbel .

Took the Maggot Drowner last time and he caught 2, .

Must be my turn now.

Got my Princes PLM, cheddar cheese, pepperami, bread, halibut pellets & tuna.

Surely something's gonna work.

Wish me luck.

Regards

M

Smile Re: Anchor Meadow in the morning

Good Morning

Thanks for good wishes but I'm sorry to report I blanked.

Had loads of interest and nibbles but nothing took hold.

I'm thinking the hook is wrong for the bait and fish.

Standard size 10's just don't hook the fish.

Being the proactive sort I've already bought some wierd looking hooks for the return match.

To balance things out, it was a glorious day with loads of sun added to which the river and surrounding countryside is a total pleasure.

It could have been much worse....I could have been at work.

There will be a 'next time'.

Thanks again for your kind wishes.

Best Regards

Malc
