back to the yare

i was relaxing on the sofa at around 3.30pm this afternoon and just have a discussion with the missuswhen it got a bit heated which ended up in us not talking at all .
and then with the kids playing up i wanted to get out and knowing i had some ground bait left over from friday night session i thought sod it i,m outa here for a while .
i decided i was going to go back to where we fished friday to see if i could pull out acouple of more nice bream .
i was soon there and with a few essentials items in my pockets and knowing it was a good walk to the river i just wanted the least amount of gear as possible .
so i made the fifteen minute walk and arrived at the opening and was and was soon lokking at the slow moving river yare .
i put the tackle down and i took a quick look around and took a couple of shots of the venues as i did not the other night .
as i was looking around i saw another coming across the river so i tried to get a picture but he must have heard me and dived down under the surface and i did not see him any more but it was a privaledge to just see him any way .
this is looking up to the left on the river year

and this is looking back up river towards norwich

i put my blue fox feeder rod together and got all ready knowing i had the deep hole just to the left of me i made up a few balls of ground bait and judged the speed of the flow and lobbed the balls of ground bait out hoping i had judge right for the mix to drop through the water to the edge of the hole .
soon i was out fishing and i settled down to just relax and forget about earlier in the afternoon .
it was now getting to dusk and i was hoping i would get a bite or two but nothing happened and anhour past and no bites had come my way .
i wondered if my balling out had actually worked against me as this was an area that would not get alot of attention and the ground bait going in and the noise it would have made might have spooked the fish .
then suddenly i got a lovely drop back which saw me swooping the rod back and connect with a bream .

a very nice start this was soon put back as i left the net as i wanted only to take a few bits
i cast the rod back in to the spot and watched the tip light waiting for another bream to pull the tip round .
again i got another drop back which i again connected with and this time it felt a better fish it came to the surface and it lkooked very nice indeed i soon as in the net .
i decided to weigh it and it went 6lb 8oz a very nice river bream i thought may be it was going to be a night of a big bream .

i cast again back into the hole and got an immediate knock which was a liner so i knew the bream were there .
then the tip went round and another bream was banked this time it was a small bream which i released straight away .
i was soon back out and was waiting for another fish to bite and sure enough the tip went round again and yet another nice bream of about 4lb was banked

again it was released after a quick piccy and i was soon back out waiting for more bream action i decided on the next bream i caught i would call it a night as i did not want ot be home to late .
another bite was had and i struck but sods law i missed it but it wassoon back out again i waited patiently for a bite and i got a slight knock i was now ready with my hand on the rod and then a classic bream bite and i connected with another bream this felt a good fish and as it came into the net i knew t was a nice fish .
it was unhooked and weighed and it was the biggest of the evening going 6lb 10oz what a nice way to end and evening session .

i took one last admiring look at this fish and wished it well as it slipped into the murky depth .
i was well pleased with the few bream i had this evening and i wondered if i stayed whether i would have a bigger one but felt that this would not be the case but i,m going to have another couple of session here as i do feel it might be the area to produce that 9lb plus bream that me and my mate are after .
i soon made the spooky walk back through the woods over the rail way lines and past the church and grave yard to my waiting car and went home again a happy angler .

tightlines
kevin
