120 mile to be told no

well i had a plan in place for a few day now was not sure if i was going to getr the available time to go .
but as from friday i knew i had a two day window to get in a session carping on the drains well one in particular and i was well up for it as i had this plan and was not sure i could pull it off and it not often i get this excited before i go but it probably was the prospect of what i might be able to catch .
well this morning i decided i was off and i would be back on wed morning as we had a very important meeting for my son education and it could not be missed so this trip would also give me time to quietly think of how i was going to deal with the people at the meeting.
any way car loaded and i,m really still excited and i had to concentrate i had the essential gear i needed and did not want to forget any thing .
firstly to the tackle shop to get some particular boilies and other bits and bobs .
next it was a quick dash to asda to buy some food, coffee milk .
then to the petrol station to fill up then i was off and away to the particular drain on arriving i stopped off to see the owners and pay to fish and get access to this little oasis and thats when my plan was scuppered BIG TIME as the shooting season has just started and i was now not allowed to fish it . NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !
to say i was gutted and was an understatement as this now has also scuppered my zedding plans for the winter and two of my zedding hot spots are on this drain to so a big chunk of winter fishing my fishing has just been stopped and to drive 128 mile round trip did not make me feel any better and the extra money i paid out for bait i would not normally use esle where To was annoying .
now there was no where else i wanted to go and i,ve got so used to fishing on the drains that having to rub shoulders again on a lake i did not want to fish in the first place would have been pointless so i drove straight home threw my gear in anger into the cupboard and prolly now thats it for my carping this year and i,m now having to rethink my zedding to
i,m more gutted for my zedding and most of you know how passionate i am and i,ve quietly been searching out area,s to tackle over the past two season will now be wasted .
so now i,ve either got to go back to area,s i,ve fished and probably recapture fish i,ve all ready had and hope a big one is there whichj has not been in past or start again wasting probably half the winter developing area,s that might not produce anything
my winter fishing has taken a serious big blow today am i,m really really pissed off with it all (sorry for swearing ) but thats how i feel

SOMETIME FISHING JUST SUCKS

i,m a bit more cheered up just watched the video richard (thank you richard )
i,ve decided i too want to do a video any good with a video camera richard ?
how do you fancy spending your winter driving miles, getting cold ,wet , blank occassionly getting dispondant and produce a video on the species might not make no money but give you a great insight into the species .
then you will get a close up of my gear you want so badly he he

Re: 120 mile to be told no

Unlucky Kev, but as others have said, this might just be the opportunity you might never have otherwise had. Who knows, the swims you're now forced to fish might just hold that 15lber.

Only one way to find out mate.....

Rich.

Sorry to hear of your misfortune Kev, we all feel for you, knowing how dedicated (obsessed lol) you are about your zander.

""obession was a word used by the lazy to decribe the dedicated ""

i thought that was spot on that phrase just wish i had thought of it first but i do now use it some times in conversations
