| lightning does strike twice after the saturdays successful bream fishing sessioni went back to try and see if i could catch like that again and also as i had a load of ground bait left over . i arrived down at bramerton around 7.30 and wanfder off to chat to a couple of other anglers to see how they ewere going on . i decided that i was going to fish the far end off the green to see if i could locate the bigger fish that are normally around end but have not shown here to myself yet . i was set up and fishing by 8 .30 pm and fishing was very slow indeed and by 10.30 i had not even recieved a bite which i though was unusual also it was very still and getting very misty indeed so again every thing was going to be damp at this point i thought i would give it another hour but then it started iwas soon playing my first bream of the session into the waiting net . ![]() it was if some one had switched on a light as bite after bite came to me and i connected with a few and land them they were also getting a bit bigger . and by 11.30 i had put 10 fish in the net ![]() the bites did not seemed to be letting up and more bream were banked with the odd fish being missed . it incredible that you can sit on a spot and think you not going to catch and in an instant it all changes but i,m not complaining cause i know how hard fishing can be . ![]() i was starting to think if i continue i will not be able to lift the net out so on my 20th breami called it a day ![]() as it had also been arm aching stuff bring them nice slabs across the river and i was right i really did struggle in lifting the net out on my own but i did mange eventually and a quick pic of the contents was takenand the fish were then all released . ![]() i would not like to hazzard a guessat how much weight there was but if i had to i reckon about 80lb taken an average weight of four pound a piece , but fishing is not about how many and how heavy the fish are really it about just getting out and enjoying the few hours of peice and quiet we get to enjoy are sport any way again another success bream session has been had but its not as easy as it looks as the first couple of hours show i had to be patient and wait till they came to my spot that was being accurractly baited by me having been clipped up so i did not spread my feed over a big area . tightlines kevin ![]() |
