| Walnut Creek, Papillion NE 9/1/06 I finally made it out to Walnut last friday afternoon w/2 good friends, a High school buddy and his wife. We all had most of the afternoon off, so we got there about 3:00. We came loaded w/dozens of jigs and spinners that we've made. We parked in the east lot and walked past the peninsula that would be on our left, to sit on the rock dam, with the lake outlet to our right. Our swim had a couple logs jammed up just a couple yards from the bank. This didn't really effect our fishing because the fish hang in the weeds just a few feet off, inside the logs My friend, Gavin got 1st w/a nice little Bluegill. We all bagged up w/Bluegill. After a while Gavin also got the L.M.Bass in the pic. He wouldn't pose w/his catch... (he didn't want to make it look any smaller than it already was)  We all caught at least 1 L.M.bass before we were done. I caught a really small one in front of the outlet. This was our swim. There is a boat ramp on the other side, thru the trees.   This outlet holds ALOT of fish, its nearly always swarming w/minnows that attract everything else. This is the best pic we got of Bluegill(see the blue on the gill plate) And My bulk stalking our elusive quarry   I have pix, but am still figuring how, and waiting 4 approval, will add soon...hope  __________________ A bad day fishing is better than a good day working!
