Carp fishing and tench

Well Im off tonight to see if I can get a 20lb plus carp this evening, fishing the same lake again

The weather as be ok with warm nights and little breeze so will be targeting carp of the top fishing about 50yrds out to a big weed bed

If I hook up it will be a challange stopping them going start to the weed bed and thus loosing them

Will also do abit of float fishing for tench / bream

Well what a quiet night

Fished floaters and not one rise

Took a bream 3-4lb on the float but was pestered by rudd nicking the bait or knocking it off

It was a good night and thats were the old saying comes in -
thats why they call it fishing not catching

bream isn't too bad, and rudd are a nice fish, so atleast you didn't blank. did you get the bream on corn?

Im no complaining

But there were lots of pike about only jack probably so will give them a bash next time

i hate it when that happens, you know there are fish there and often you can see them but cant get them, always happens to me, happened today as well
put the bait right next 2 them and they just carry on doping what they were doing befor
stupoid fish

Just use a floater lure as there are loads of weed

Good thing about floaters you can alter your speed to greater the depth which is great when fishing weedy lakes

Plus there is a lot jake pike so dead baiting could be a waste of time as there is so much bait fish around at the moment
