| Holiday in Cornwall We went camping in Cornwall last week and to my horror the campsite had 3 ponds attatched to it  Over the week i had a few short sessions there with my limited freshwater tackle,the great thing was it gave me chance to really get my lad into fishing. Even at only just under 4 yrs old i soon had him sitting in his chair holding a small whip waiting for the float to go under with a discorger behind his ear Sometimes if the fish was small he would end up sending it flying over his head ,if it was a decent one i usually took over but it was great to see how quick he picked things up and his enthusiasm was 150% Anyway this is his first ever decent fish of about 1lb  On my last night i went for a few hours armed just with a carp rod and some crusts. In the two hours before dark i had me great fun floating crusts for carp taking 6 carp up to 15lb For anyone wanting a cheap camping/angling holiday i could certainly recomend the site we stayed on. | Re: Holiday in Cornwall Well done to the young'un john, he'll soon be out fishing his dad! I took my 4 year old daughter the other week, she was more interested in feeding the ducks, now if I could just take her shooting she would make a great "decoy"  |
