river wandle

hi all
i'm up to parents week after B/hol and hoping to smuggle a rod in the car, + dynamite for those stickleback

but my question is about the river wandle in surrey,
as is just behind father in laws place in hackbridge
I know its known for barbel arround carshalton area, questiions are

1 is it free?(seem to recall it is)

2 access?

3 with all the hot weather is there any river left?

bet it all goes pearshaped and dont get pass anyway but any help would be great

didnt make it this trip got a report on another venue to do when home

heard though of good barbel and chub coming out of river at moment mitchum stretch

will be back in autumn
