| today went to the broads today with some lures to try and get some pike used my bass buster lure to start with, just as i was lifting it out i saw a pike turn and swim away, so cast back out and there it was again, following , got to the bank and it sat there staring so i pulled it out, and wham the pike jumped out and missed the lure! :O few minutes later had another follow, i saw it lurking under the surface, so popped the bass buster and it followed, but wouldn't take, it followed me along the bank TWICE and then swam off, really annoying!  my mate then had a follow and it looked about 15lb, but swam off, then cast again and it followed again, sat there stared at the lure and then swam off! as my mate was realing in his lure, another good double was following, again swam off.. maybe it was the heat, it affected me (i got a sunburnt neck and arms! ) well, i've now blanked 4 times in a row! what have i gotta do to catch a fish!     |
