very short session

earlier today i walked along part of the wensum and saw some very big roach and chub sitting under the this tree and i just had to take a shot at catching one .
the trouble was firstly the swim was tight my idea was to trickle maggots down to the swim and draw the roach and chub away from the lear so for ten minutes i trickle maggot down and then placed my maggot feeder down and wham the tip went straight away and i promptly pull in a roach of about 4 oz well that was that the swim was like a desert after that i messed up my one chance but they will be back .
so i decided to drop in at costessey mill and see what i could pull out there for a little while
and again i fished a maggot feeder and no sooner had it been dropped in i had my first gudgeon this was shortly followed by another then the perch moved in and a hatrick of small perch were landed and ii decided that enough was enough and as i wanted to go out again after tea for a evening session i made my way home .
