breaming on the bure

yesterday was a sweltering day and the evening was muggy so i decided instead of being all uncomfotable in the heat i would go with a mate and sit by a nice cool river bank late evening .
we decided to go really late 10. 30 pm infact and we fished on the river bure at wroxam.
bait was simply three grains of corn on a size ten and bream was are quarry .
rigs again were simple with a medium size cage feeder with about a 2 foot of 4lb hooklength tied to a size 10 hook .
ground bait consisted of two of the dynamite fomulated ground baits (method mix/and amino black ) mixed up with a tin of sweet corn and a quarter pint of maggots and a couple of hand fuls of blood worm pellets .
i fished to the far bank tree line and in the half light mangae to get in spot on in a little cap which i then clipped up so i could accurately put it back in the same spot .
four tennis ball size balls were thrown out first and then this was followed by my baited rig .
half an hour past before i got my first bite and in true spirit of river breaming i missed it
again i sent my baited rig out there and i felt confident that i would catch sure enough the rod tipped bowed down in front of me and i quickly lifted into a bream the held out in the flow so i has it slkicding over the net and this went about 3lb to 4lb .and soon i was back overthe far side and again another bite was missed then another and then another arrgghhhhhhhhhhhhh whats going on .
on my next cast i had another good bite which again i copnnected with and soon had another nice bronze prize laying in my net this looked about the same asize as the last one and was soon released .
my mate next to me was fishing in the middle of the river but was getting no action which for phil (or the bream king ) was unusual and i,m the one normanly trailing behind him in the numbers of bream caught .
he moved his bait close to the tree line .
we fished on and he missed a couple of bite and i did too not my best of bream session by a long walk but i had soon nice bure bream on the bank so i was happy.

tightlines
kevin

Re: breaming on the bure

Nice night session mate and was by far the best idea to go fishing instead of staying indoors in the heat
