Angry Bury Hill - bad day (again)

Not much to report really, I think it would have been a good day but let me tell you why it wasn't:

Got there at 10am, walked the massive distance to peg 71 (must buy a barrow). Set up with new Warrior XT's (lovely to cast with by the way). I was using quality bait and was feeding the swim well. Had a chat on the phone with Dave and I was feeling confident. Had a screamer just before tea-time, but it came off while I was fighting it (damn barbless hooks), then I was getting liners. So everything was going well and I was confident of a bit of a hauling session when in the field behind the lakes a rave started! The fishery owner had called the police so it was in their hands, but it continued. The volume was really pi**ing me off, so after an hour I packed up and left. So the curse continues, just what do I have to do to bag a twenty this year?

Rob

Re: Bury Hill - bad day (again)

you think thats bad i fished a place but i wont name it as im not too sure it happens often.
its supposed to be a professional carp fishery down my way payed about 25 quid for 24 hours at seven in the morning was woken up by a heavy plant engine running what the hell i thought got out and its the fishieries owner sat next to me in a dumper collecting loss brambles great i thought there goes my chances of catching in the margins then to top things off after he cleared of a couple of hours later there where two quad bikes blasting round everyones swims should have asked for my money back really.
