| Carping Today me and john thought we might try abit of a dark side session today cause the sea was outa the question with johns leg in a cast so i picked him up at 8 armed with carp rods, corn, spam and maggots we were soon set up and fishing and on the 1st cast john had a run which we lost at the net things carried on this was with lots of carp coming up around the 5-6lb mark on almost every cast, double hooks ups were common. all were common carp apart from 1 mirror which i had, almost all were taken on spam, although i had 1 on corn and john had 1 on maggots, tried appel for a while but only had afew knocks i also managed to catch an eel on float fished maggots for the species comp      we had soon had enough of just catching carp so we moved to 1 end of the lake where there was a small river where we caught roach, dace and lost several nice carp due to cramped condition's  really enjoyable days fishing, lost count of how many carp we caught not to mention all the roach and stuff __________________ Bens The Name And Catchings The Game Anti the Anti's     |

| Re: Carping Today Lovely stuff fellas! Some nice carp there and caught on spam! I think we all get too tied up in boilies, pellets, paste etc that we forget the basics. Nice to see John isn't letting a broken foot get in the way of baggin up! Rob |
