Koi catch

After checking out a pond nearby my house, i realised there were about 10 kois in a small pond. I hooked on a piece of bread without squeezing it so it would float. I casted the bread right next to a fat koi. It slowly rose up and inhaled the bread. The bread went down and i waited about 5 seconds before i struck. Yes! It made very good runs around snags. In about 3min, i brought it up. A nice 4lb koi. Great fighters, but not enough stamina though...

Re: Koi catch

well at that pond, there are kois, tilapias(drain fish), Snakeheads, Giant Gouramis. I bet you havent heard of these before, . I missed 2 vicious whacks from the snakeheads, estimated >3kg. I'm seeking revenge tomorrow. hehe

Re: Koi catch

I went back to the pond today to seek some revenge. Didn't manage to land a koi, but my friend did. It was heavier than the one i had caught. It was 4.5lb, truly a monster...It's incredibly fun to watch the koi slowly surface, check out your bread and finally inhaling it. Look's like i'll have to give that pond a rest for a month to let the kois fully recover.
