Pond Fishing

Went to the pond today caught some bluegill 1lb- caught a turtle i had i think don't quote me but i think i had a 5lb. largemouth on oh my i got in a snag with him on and then he managed to get the eagle hook off the snag and then he jumped out of the water i saw him he was huge i would have to say 5lb. but im not for sure i met some people there they caught a catfish ole probably 2lb. then a couple bass 2-3lb few bluegill and crappie thats is about all the action that happened today.

Tackle:,Zebco reel and pole, 12lb. test, (red) eagle hook, bobber , sinker.

P.S. when i caught the turtle he broke my 2/0 fishing hook in half so part is stuck in his mouth lol.

Thumbs up Re: Pond Fishing

Sounds like you had a good day mate. At least you saw the Bass before you lost it. Nothing worse than hooking a big fish & then losing it without knowing what it is...

I have to say I find it the opposite Ian, if I've seen it's a big fish and then lost it, I find it worse...could just be me, but knowing you had a biggie on and then losing it...
