| Re: a little more serious well it wasn't as productive as expected. i arrived at 04.15 ,it was half light, the sun wasn't up but the carp were, they were crashing everywhere, unfortunately they didn't want a bait, they seemed quite happy to just cruise around just under the surface and ignoring every attempt to catch them, in fact the only area of the lake i didn't see any fish rolling was in my pre baited area i got a take on halibut pellet at about 09.30 which resulted in a very pretty looking 81/2lb common which gave me a torrid time as it tried to get under the tree roots either side of my swim ![]() and that was about all, lost a tench at the net during the afternoon,it was only about 2lb so it didn't matter much. a rather quiet day,the weather was a let down,it rained off and on for most of the day but the wildlife was amazing,i had a reed warbler singing away in the reedbed next to me all day and a cute little water vole found tiger nut boilies very appetising as he sat on my pod munching them at least i avoided the dreaded blank Last edited by Norfolkboy; 06-01-2006 at 07:44 PM. |

| Re: a little more serious Nice fish mate, looks in good condition. I'd be happy with that myself, shame that his mates didn't want to play Rob |
