be interested to know what you had chris as i wanted to pay creedy another visit on tuesday or weds but im not sure how close to spawning ect the fish are as i believe last week they were pairing up and begining to spawn (i would hate to go there all day to find them
spawning and standing next to no chance of catching one!)

yea i would love to go in this weather but cant get there this week now due too work.. i will try and get out next week though and will post my days off too incase someone fancy's meeting me out there...


i read the press release on there website yesterday and it said the carp should spawn this week if the temp holds.. well the forecast ive seen they should be spawning

so maybe leave it for a while? i dont know how long the spawning process lasts?

dave i fished it yesterday from 11am til 9pm.. had naff all on the bottom rod managed to hook a couple small ones on the biscuits but literally 100's of fish on the surface sunning themselves but not interested in bait!

however i will say.. i fished just up from the boathouse and around 2pm the owners came down in a van and ''launched'' a huge air pump on talking to the lady she explained that the hot weather reduces the oxygen levels and the fish get lathergic? you get my drift not sure on the spelling lol

they switched this thing on and.. well only a lake that size could have a pump like that or you would throw all the water out!! this created a noticable drift across the lake and certainly got the fish moving come the evening although still the fish wouldnt feed they certainly looked more active than they were in the morning with plenty jumping and splashing around.. i would say the fishing will improve now the water has plenty of oxygen!
