| I,ve just got permission from a local landowner to fish a couple of stretches of the river Brit in Dorset Between Beaminster & Bridport. It's a very small & overgrown water, but does have a run of Sea Trout & some resident Brownies. I was watching a good rise a week or so back just above Bridport, when there was a good hatch of Hawthorn Flies on the water. I think it may be a bit difficult to fly fish it due to overhanging trees, so I shall probably try using freelined worm. Has anyone else fished this water or know anything about it? It's the same river as seen on the TV series River Cottage with Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall __________________ Don't Judge My Path If You Haven't Walked My Journey... |
