| Going to give my local water, "Clivey Pond" a go tomorrow evening, providing this weather improves. Not seen the forecast yet. Going to try for some of the larger resident tench & the elusive Gudgeon that i'm still chasing for the species hunt... __________________ Don't Judge My Path If You Haven't Walked My Journey... |

| Well, I arrived at the fishery at 4pm Set up a feeder rod baited with sweetcorn on a size 12 hair rigged hook & loaded the feeder with some Van Den Eynde Supercup Groundbait, A few grains of corn & some marine Halibut pellets. Cast out just as it started to pour down with rain & a mini hurricaine sprung up. My bait had been in the water for about 30 seconds when a Bl*!#Y duck decided to swim over my line. Reeled in the slack, only to find a rather large carp attached to the other end. This moment of excitement lasted all of 10 seconds before the carp decided to swim into a nearby reedbed. Bye Bye Carp. Spent the next 3 hours trying to work out if I was getting bites or if the tip movement was just down to the gale force wind. Did manage a few small carp, some skimmer bream & a few nice roach though. However this was more luck than judgement. And still no sign of the millions of Gudgeon that are rumoured to inhabit this fishery & that I was targeting for the species hunt. Did'nt bother to take any pics either, as my camera is'nt stormproof!!! __________________ Don't Judge My Path If You Haven't Walked My Journey... |
