ghostie bashing

well as you know i,ve not been well but yesterday got the all clear of the doctor so i was no longer going to lay around i was up for a session regardless of how poorly i was .
i soon had the car loaded and then i had to decide where to go and i decided on a little pond ,which i will name (ghostie pond )where i would not have to hopefully put much effort into it as i mainly just wanted to chill on the bank and mabe be get a few run of the small ghosties that were in this little pond .
soon i was on my way up to the fens where i love to go once the season starts but it also has this little pond where only one or two people fish ,soon i was heading up the little track and then as the tree,s opened up the pond was in front of me
a very quick walk round the pond and i had decided where i was going to go plus there was a lad and his mate on one side and they had been there all night and all day and only had 6 carp between them .
i set up my night shelter for the short evening overnighter and proceeded to mix my special method mix which has sdone me pround and i hope it would not let me down here .
but i needed not to worry as within 5 minutes my first rod was a away to a small ghostie
this was soon put back and the rod was out but not for long and a nice mirror was bank thats two in less than ten minutes this was soon released and the rod was out again again the rod was off immeadiately and a very scrappy common put up a respectable battle for his small stature
while i was putting this back my other rod flew off to another carp trying to make it up the other end of the pond but after a spirited fight the small mirror was banked phew this is hectic this carried on about every twenty minutes one of my rod would go off and the carp just kept coming as if every carp in this pond wanted to come and say hi to me
by night fall i had 16 small carp landed and i was pretty tire too as i was not really expecting this much action it was meant to be a chill out session to relax
i was hoping that the darkness would slow them down how wrong was i the ghosties came out to play
this carried on and on and i would drop the odd fish but i was getting tired and had not really had any time to get even a nap again the rod was off and this time the fish gave a good account for itself and had a bit of weight to it again it gave a spirited fight and i deciced to weight it and it went 13lb thought thats a good fish from here and this was soon put back and the rod was sent back out i did not even get the bobbin on and yet again it was a way and a really beautiful little ghostie slumped over the net i think you will agree its a cracking little ghostie again this was put out and i decided it was time to have a brew and even the fish obliged and gave me a rest but not for long i had not even had time to put my empty cup down and they were off again and this time a small fiesty mirror came int othe bank
once again a couple of pics were taken and it was quickly released it was now starting to get light but the carp still were not letting up as they kept coming and coming i was right out of method mix by 6.30am and even my last method ball put out even produced
at this point i had to call it a day as i was not prepared to mix any more mix up i ended up with 46 runs with 38 carp banked and i have to say i thoroughly enjoyed it reagrdless i was knackered its some times nice to just go and fish, instead of planning a session and going about it all regimental and chasing big fish .
going to take my son next time and see how he fears against these carp cause they all fought awsomely hard

tightlines

Now that just showing off, what a brilliant session.

By the way what do you call your mad looking twin with the red eyes, who only comes out at night?

Well done Kev. If that's a chilled out session, I'd hate to see a hectic one!

All the best mate.

Rich.

Talking Re: ghostie bashing

Wow that's some session there Kev & some pristine looking fish. Can't think of a better therapy for getting you back on your feet mate. Hopefully you will be OK for the smutt meet. But please don't bring your scary twin. LOL
Must have been on the werewolf flavour boilies again....
