 2 out of 3 aint bad well what a cracking day not neccessarily fish filled but still on huge high started 5 am with a trip to budliegh(sea fishing i know but,,, just 1 mackeral to show but a fish none the least(and managed to swap it for a pint of milk from milkman as well) got back to sort out school bags etc (so in good books) sunrise over otter head  as son is home from school thought would take him for a walk over dartmoor way so went to venford resevoir near ashburton, this is free wild trout fishing and so was rude not to take a rod  tried spinning for nearly 2 1/2 hours but no luck but there are some big trout in there I have seen them!!!!!!!!!!   then couldnt believe it when missus got home early and said"give you a break did you want to go out?" well rude not to again i thought so dumped gear in car and belted up to creedy lake in crediton again for 6 pm armed with aload of floating pellets and dog bikkies(but they werent on the top tonight!!) so slung out some boilies with pellet pva bags nothing happening anywher arround lake really (heard 1 run) didly for me apart from a nice sunset  then at 10pm left hand rod line slowly crept away so i lifted into it and whey hey fish on, didnt feel very big and came towards bank really easy till i turned on headtorch to net it, then it was like linford cristie on speed  guess was about 5 mins later got it too bank again(great fight on braid as well) so here it is my new 17 1/2 lb PB (last was 9lb)Carp(sorry did txt boys and said mirror , its a common, i knew but was on a bit of a high), chuffed me or what, all i wanted was a double sorry looks so muddy in pics he took a wee break for freedom and its a while since i played rugby  thanks also to guy in next swim for taking picture packed up soon after as didnt want to spoil night now i really must get a shower and get to bed,  a very happy pingu __________________ www.exmouthsaa.co.uk 24 beers in a case and 24 hours in a day simples You won't know unless you go :D...and if you do go!! please let us know :D as thats how the forum thrives     |
