South view farm(Shilly)

After gettin my new reels i decided to take a trip ti shilly. Arrived there about 9.30 and decided to fish the bottom lake. I walked around fond what i thought was the best swim a started to lose feed a few maggots. A few fish responded so i decided that this was the place. After setting up the rods i sat and waited and waited and waited!nothing was goin on the fish were feeding but not interested so i decided to upsticks and move to the middle lake on the far right hand size. I set up with my trusted baits and set about the fish. The crp were jumping but not being takken. My only conclusion was that they are spawning. I did how ever manage 1 carp on the new reel and some very decent roach. One that measured 9" long i only wish i had weighed it but had left the scales at home.

I will back there agin in a couple of wks when the randy sods have finished their business.
