| Re: sea dogs get his peices of eight well i'm back to a decent pc at last cant believe tuesday got there for 7.15 am and kev was already there (from Norwich , 170mile away) and he had alrady scanned the lake well we paid the price again and went and set up , nicking the next swim along for rob with kevs barrow we were both just about set up when rob arrived after travelling his massive 3 miles from home I set up 1 rod with strawberry boilies and a pva web with white choc boilies as freebies and sent that out to middle and then set up feeder with luncheon meat(both set ups hair rigged size 6 hooks) Kevthen started the first brew(should definately be brewmaster now) of many 1st fish was mine at just before 10 then kev and then rob within the hour then nothing again apart from steady rain(stopped playing with pva then) untill about 3 when the next bream lost the rig on the feeder so swapped to smaller hooklength and hairrigged size 12 with smaller baits still dropped into same area then about 1 hour later the tench rearedits head I was one well happy bunny then about 5.30 pm the swim really took off and it was a pity to leave at 7 as sure better would have happened in the end a fantastic day learnt loads as ever so cheers kev and rob but had too go home and face mother who was none too happy that i had abandoned kids for so long without so much as a phone during day("what anm i just a babysitting service!!!!") but still blagged getting back out to pub for 8.30 for well deserved pint or 7, and swettened mum up with some flowers next day now home and still drying gear and gotta get all that mud off dave __________________ 24 beers in a case and 24 hours in a day , Game on www.exmouthsaa.co.uk I have the body of a God, Pity its Buddha :-0 |

Just want to say again it was a cracking day. I mentioned on Tuesday (during a cup of the brewmeister's coffee) that if I hadn't joined the forum I wouldn't have met so many decent fellas who've shared their skills and knowledge to make me a better angler and for that I'm grateful. Being such a sea fishing nut I certainly never contemplated being a coarse angler, but because of the species hunt last year, I'm now a certified coarse fishing nut as well. Rob |
