Talking fishing today

hi all went fishing at shilling ford today
i got up at 7am looked out of the window it didn't look good i nearly went back to bed.
i went and made flask and pack up and set off. i got to shilling ford at 7:45am i got out of the car slipped and trod in a deep puddle now with wet feet thought to myself could it get any worse.
any way i set up small swim feeder and a size 18 hook with magot attached and cast out asi was tightening up my rod tip pulled round so i struck and pulled in a small bream iwas well happy wet feet did not matter anymore took a photo for my points for species hunt and baited up again and caught a perch more points i caught steadily for about two hours before it went quiet.
anywayby the end of the day i had totalled 18 bream /skimer bream 1 perch 1 ghost carp and 1 roach mymate that came with me caught about 12 bream / skimmer bream a carp and a perch .
so allinall a great days fishing and 6 points to add to species hunt so it must have been a lucky puddle i stepped in
also it was nice to see ping again as he popped by on way home from work
cheers

Thumbs up Re: fishing today

Nice report Phill. All the best sessions seem to start off badly, then end up as red letter days. If the conditions look perfect when you start, it's usually the kiss of death.
