Bury Hill Tomorrow

Cant wait!

Am having a nice little birthday trip to bury hill main lake tomorrow with a good old friend I have not seen for ages. Got all the different bait and a nice little packend lunch sorted. Plus a new brew kit curtesy of the missus. We have even got a boat as well, should be fun as long as it doesnt rain too much!

Report to follow on saturday. Anyone got any tips?

Marc

Good luck Marc, I love it there (I only live 3 miles away). I've found the fruitier flavoured boilies worked better for carp recently. If you can, Bury Hill's Icelandic Red boilies are great. Try Bonds or Milton lakes if you have the time and get the wagglers out, lots of crucians in Milton and I've had carp to 7lb on the the float in Bonds. Look forward to your report!

Re: Bury Hill Tomorrow

crap! I had 2 thumbnail sized perch and lost a decent tench. My mate had 2 nice tench about 4lb and that was it.

Main lake was rubbish, no-one caught anything really. We heard of 1 carp being caught all day. We saw a few people catch on the other lakes so we moved to the tench lake.

Not a great day considering the price! Lovely place though, might go back and try for some pike in the winter, but will see.
