spent a lovely day at the ponds again yesterday after dropping kids to school got there and set up for 10 and fished till 2.1 float rod 2lb line size 20 hook and one rod with small feeder size 14hook and 4lb line (again hunting the crucians or rudd)fist cast (whilst still setting up other rod)got a 3 lb mirror on float rod, great scrap on such light and gear.then totally plagued by roach and skimmers and gudgeon, also carp fry on the float with maggot(nothing touched any other bait)and then another mirror about 1.5lb.feeder rod got 2 tench to about 2lb when i put on carp pellet but no crucians(how do you get them????)worst news was that i caught an eel(beginning to really hate these things) on the float rod as well, thought this place was free of themoh well nice day, no points though but will try againdave

Well done Dave, still waiting for my first carp. Don't mention eels, nowhere is clear of them and now I've got my points for one I hope I never see another one until next year's species hunt!
