| todays fun had a nice day at one of my club lakes today, this lake is stocked with tons of carp,rudd and roach. i took my son chris and we started about 07.30, after a slow start we started getting some action,though strangely not on the usual luncheon meat and sweetcorn,it was pepperami that got their juices going, later on the pepperami went dead and we only caught on halibut pellets. it went quiet around lunchtime as the sun came out and we started picking up carp on the surface,i havn't had so much fun in ages,the fish were right under our feet, there are supposed to be fish up to 20lb in there but we couldn't get anything bigger than 4lb, i suppose we ended up with about 20 carp between us , after some difficult days and some blanks it does you good to get a few fish.     |

 Re: todays fun Nice report Paul. During blank spells, It is the thought of a "better Catch tomorrow" that keeps us anglers doing what we do  And generally it is true!! |
