Southview, near Exeter

Meant to post this the other week.

This fella weighed in at 16lbs and I took him on a dog bickie a foot from the bank (they were too clever in the open water). It took me 20 minutes to get him in the net - he'd been on the spinach for lunch no doubt and I was on 6lb line.

I caught 4 more, all commons, from 4 - 9lbs.
Cracking day out, great fishing and beautiful weather.

Re: Southview, near Exeter

I went back yesterday afternoon and had a another cracking session.
The weather was finally starting to cool down and the wind was getting up and i think that really got them hungry.

I had 10 commons from 4 to 13lbs and 2 mirrors both around 8lb all on dog bickies in the margins. Best fight was from the 4 pounder that thought it was a salmon!

A guy on the far bank who had been there all day reckoned he had about 60 fish - including 40 carp. He certainly seemed busy most of the time I was there.
