Fantastic session

Fished the main lake of the angling club I'm now a member of. Absolutely fantastic, I had a 5 hour session and rarely stopped. I used the same old tactic-6lb line straight through, size 12 hooks, float method. Anyway tally was:

11 Commons (all 4lb+)
3 Mirrors
4 Bream

Cracking. Sorry no photos guys, but was too busy

Rob

Re: Fantastic session

Well done Rob Good result there. What baits were they taking?

Also, Bury Hill where you fish, does that have an island?

Simply luncheon meat on size 12 hooks. Yep, Bury Hill has an island on the old lake and on Bonds and Milton lakes too. Boat fishing is very popular at the old lake where a lot of people row out to the island to fish

Re: Fantastic session

Was reading Total Carp mate, and someone had a 30lb carp fishing to an island at Bury Hill Fishery, so guessed that's where you fished.

Re: Fantastic session

I haven't fished on a boat yet, but will in October when they allow Pike and Zander fishing I haven't fished heavy there really, but there's plenty of 30's in the Old Lake apparently
